Samuel Fielding Harmer (1793–1843) was a Royal Navy officer and coastguard commander who saved many lives through lifeboat rescues and maritime service. He served worldwide, including Australia, the Falklands and China, later commanding HMS Driver. He died of fever in China and was widely respected for bravery and leadership.
