– The Magic of the Ragdolls: During the lean Christmas of 1946, Nancy overheard a child’s humble wish for a doll. Determined to make it happen, she stayed up all night sewing ragdolls from old scraps and buttons, finishing the very last one just as the church bells rang on Christmas morning.
– A Lifetime Bond: In 1955, Nancy’s life changed forever when a baby girl—Suzanne Lambert—was brought to the orphanage. Nancy claimed her as a daughter from the moment she held her, beginning an unbreakable maternal bond that lasted until Nancy’s death in 2005.
